Serpent River First Nation - Micro Subdivision Development
June 12, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed construction of the Micro Subdivision in Serpent River First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project
Serpent River First Nation is proposing the development of a micro-subdivision within the community. The project will involve tree clearing and earth works, construction of new sanitary septic systems and storm infrastructure, extension of existing water systems, and surface roadworks for 18 residential lots. The total footprint of the project is approximately 16,250 m2.
