Peguis First Nation Recovery Housing 30 Homes & 6-Plex – Public Comments Invited
June 16, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Recovery Housing 30 Homes and 6-Plex, located in Peguis First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project
The Recovery Housing 30 Homes & 6-Plex project is located within Peguis First Nation, which is located approximately 145 km northwest from the City of Winnipeg limits, along the 51st parallel. Peguis First Nation is a signatory to Treaty 1 and is accessible via roadway.
