Barren Lands First Nation FNCFS Prevention Building

To construct a 1,120 square meter facility along with a 44 square meter detached, heated, garage and 1,210 square meter, 31-stall parking lot in Barren Lands First Nation. The building will be connected to existing services. A fuel oil tank will be located either above or below grade in close proximity to the service room as well as an onsite generator to provide back up power to critical building systems in the event of a power outage.


Latest update

May 12, 2026– Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until June 12, 2026 respecting the determination.
