Pekisko Creek Bank Armouring by NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd.

NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of TC Energy, is proposing to armour a section of Pekisko Creek passing through the Bar U Ranch National Historic site. The objective of the project is to mitigate potential integrity risk to an existing NGTL pipeline from ongoing bank erosion and encroachment of the stream into the pipeline right-of-way. Proposed erosion mitigation at the site includes the installation of 53 m of riprap, including a 27 m riprap revetment that will replace the existing bank and encroach into the stream, and a 17 m buried riprap trench located within the bank and outside of the active stream channel.
