Snowforest Campground Upgrades

In 2020, the Snowforest Campground opened to the public. After three operating seasons, several upgrades and retrofits are proposed to improve visitor experience and safety, reduce visitor impact on the environment, extend the lifecycle of the campground, and reduce negative human-wildlife interactions. Proposed work includes: new connector trails within the campground footprint, installation of 15 bear proof lockers, two new vault privies, additional parking, fixing drainage issues, vegetation management to remove natural wildlife attractants, and construction of a perimeter fence to reduce human-bear conflict.
